PM-Kisan 22nd Installment: If you are a farmer in Bihar and are benefiting from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, this news is of paramount importance to you. The central and state governments have now made Farmer ID (unique digital identity) mandatory. Over 5 million farmers in Bihar have yet to complete their ‘Farmer Registry,’ which could delay their upcoming 22nd installment.
In response to this crisis, the Bihar government has launched a special campaign until February 6, 2026. It is mandatory to register within this deadline so that the next installment of ₹2,000 can reach your bank account without any interruption.
Complete this task by February 6

The Bihar government has embarked on a mission mode to expedite the registration process for farmers. Under this campaign, farmers will be required to obtain a digital identity card, called a Farmer ID, by matching their land and Aadhaar. The good news is that the government has made this service completely free at Common Service Centers (CSCs) or Vasudha Centers.
The service charge previously levied for this will now be borne by the Agriculture Department. If you miss the February 6th deadline, you could lose out on not only your PM Kisan installment but also future seed subsidies, fertilizers, and agricultural equipment subsidies.
How to Create a Farmer ID from Home Using Your Mobile
If you have a smartphone and your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar, you can complete this process yourself. First, visit the official website of Bihar Agristack. Click on ‘Create New User Account’ and enter your Aadhaar number to verify via OTP. Next, enter your mobile number and complete the e-KYC process.
The next important step is to fill in your land details; submit the land information based on your Jamabandi number. If your land is not listed, add it manually and click ‘Verify All Land’. Finally, upon submitting your Aadhaar-based e-signature, your unique Farmer ID will be generated.

When will the 22nd installment of PM-KISAN arrive
After Budget 2026, millions of farmers across the country are now eagerly awaiting their next installment. According to regulations, PM-KISAN installments are released every four months. According to sources and media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may transfer the 22nd installment of ₹2,000 to farmers’ accounts via DBT in the last week of February 2026. However, this time, only those farmers whose bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar and who have completed their Farmer ID or e-KYC process will receive the money.
