PM Kisan 22nd installment date: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman released the country’s budget on February 1st. Farmers had high expectations from the budget this time. Beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana, in particular, were hoping for an increase from Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000. However, that did not happen.
Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman outlined the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare’s priorities for the year 2026-27. This year, a budget of Rs 63,500 crore has been allocated to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi . However, the scheme’s budget remains the same as the previous budget. This makes it clear that the government is not currently in the mood to increase the amount of the PM Kisan Yojana.
9.5 crore farmers get benefits
Farmers across the country benefit from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Statistics show that approximately 95 million farmers are covered by this scheme each year. Under this scheme, farmers are given Rs 6,000 annually, at the rate of Rs 2,000 each. This money is deposited directly into their bank accounts.
When will the 22nd installment of PM Kisan come?
Farmers are eagerly awaiting the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Sources indicate that farmers will receive their payments soon. Some media reports claim that PM Modi will transfer the money to farmers’ bank accounts in the last week of February. However, there has been no response from the government regarding the date of the 22nd installment.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a comprehensive package for the livestock, fisheries, and high-value agriculture sectors in the 2026-27 Budget presented on Sunday. The total allocation for agriculture and allied activities for the next fiscal year is Rs 1,62,671 crore, a seven percent increase from the revised estimate of Rs 1,51,853 crore for 2025-26.
