Monsoon Alert – Forecast of Rain with Storm in 7 States, Know More

Monsoon Forecast: The weather has taken a turn for the worse in many parts of the country, with rainfall occurring in several areas. Drizzle in western Uttar Pradesh and the plains of Uttarakhand has brought down temperatures. Even in Delhi-NCR, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has increased the chill.

Light to moderate rainfall is also occurring in the Western Himalayas. Cold winds from the mountains have caused a drop in temperature. The weather is expected to change in several places in Bihar and Rajasthan. The weather also appears unsettled in South India. Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir are continuously battling snowfall. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several states across the country.

Delhi-NCR Weather

According to the Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance is fully active in the northwest. The IMD has predicted scattered rainfall in the NCR from February 1st. Cold winds are expected due to snowfall in the hilly areas.

This is likely to have a direct impact on Delhi-NCR. A drop in minimum temperatures is also expected. The IMD has issued a thunderstorm and rain alert for the NCR on February 1st.

Weather in UP and Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and rain are likely in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on February 1st and 2nd. Strong winds with speeds of 30 to 50 kilometres per hour are also expected.

Hailstorms may occur in some places in eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Assam, and West Bengal tomorrow morning and evening. Night temperatures in Northwest India may increase by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.

Weather in Bihar Today

According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of the Western Disturbance will remain low in Bihar for now. Cold weather and fog are expected to continue during this period. The IMD has predicted dense fog in the state during the morning and night of February 1st.

Weather in Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is currently bustling with tourists. Heavy snowfall has attracted visitors from both India and abroad. However, the biting cold and accumulated snow are causing difficulties for the residents. The meteorological department has predicted light to moderate rainfall in the next few hours. Winds are expected to continue at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.
