14 January Bank Holiday
Today, January 14th, the RBI has announced a bank holiday in several states across the nation. Banks will be closed in Gujarat, Odisha, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh. So, if you live in any of these areas, it’s best to skip the bank tomorrow. Other than these places, banks will be open all over the country tomorrow.
The RBI has called for this holiday on January 14th because of Makar Sankranti. The Makar Sankranti festival will be celebrated nationwide tomorrow, which is why the RBI has declared a bank holiday.
