RCB’s New Home – Preparations for the Indian Premier League 2026 are already in full swing, generating considerable excitement among fans. While the schedule for IPL 2026 matches hasn’t been released yet, speculation has already begun. All eyes are on Royal Challengers Bangalore, the winners of the previous season.
RCB won their first IPL title last time, and Bangalore fans are incredibly excited about their favourite players. However, some bad news has emerged for RCB and Virat Kohli fans. It’s possible that Kohli’s team’s matches in IPL 2026 might not be held in Bangalore, but in other cities, which could be a major blow for the fans. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
A potential shock for RCB and Kohli fans
Before the Indian Premier League 2026, various questions were being raised about RCB’s home ground matches. The Karnataka Cricket Association had promised that all of RCB’s matches would be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. But now, RCB doesn’t seem to be in the mood to play its matches in Bangalore.
A report in the Times of India has revealed some surprising details. According to the TOI report, Navi Mumbai and Raipur could become RCB’s new home grounds for IPL 2026. RCB is planning to play five of its home matches in Navi Mumbai, with two matches likely to be held in Raipur.
RCB has reportedly finalised the arrangements after meetings with officials from the DY Patil Stadium and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium. Navi Mumbai and Raipur could become RCB’s home stadiums. This could dampen the enthusiasm of the fans.
Rajasthan’s matches may also be shifted.
Not only Royal Challengers Bangalore, but Rajasthan Royals’ matches may also be shifted. The Sawai Mansingh Stadium will not bethe Rajasthan Royals’ home ground for IPL 2026. Additionally, some time ago, the Maharashtra Cricket Association had also invited RCB and RR to hold their IPL 2026 matches in Pune. This report revealed that Rajasthan Royals’ matches will be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Gahunje, Pune. This is disappointing news for fans living in Jaipur.
