PM Kisan 22nd Installment: The 22nd installment of the central government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will soon be transferred to farmers’ bank accounts. The government has also taken several steps to make the scheme more transparent. As part of this effort, a Farmer ID (Farmer Registry) system has been introduced, which is now considered mandatory to receive benefits under the scheme.
The Agriculture Department has warned farmers that if they do not get their Farmer Registry done in time, they may be deprived of the annual financial assistance of ₹3,000. The department has clarified that the Farmer ID is the digital identity of the farmers, through which direct and transparent benefits of the PM Kisan scheme and other agricultural schemes will be provided.
