New Delhi: A shocking piece of news has emerged from Bangladesh, which is currently engulfed in violence. Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has passed away.

She had been ill for some time and breathed her last at the age of 80. Her death has been officially confirmed, causing great sorrow among BNP workers.

BNP Issues Statement

Following Khaleda Zia’s death, the BNP has issued a statement. According to the statement released by the BNP, Khaleda Zia passed away at around 6 AM at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. She had been undergoing treatment at this hospital for more than a month.

The statement said that BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister, national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, passed away this morning, shortly after the 6 AM prayers.
