PM Kisan Yojana – Since the central government launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, instalmentsof Rs. 2,000 have been transferred every four months. Since 2019, 21 instalments of Rs. 2,000 have been received, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the next installment.
It is speculated that the next instalment may be received by the last week of February, possibly by February 28th. This instalment will benefit farmers who have completed all the necessary procedures. If the required tasks are not completed, the instalment payment will be delayed. The government has not yet confirmed the date for sending the 22nd installment.

Discussion of an increase in instalments in the Financial Budget
The central government is expected to present its financial budget on February 1, 2026. This year’s budget is likely to provide relief to farmers. There are also continuous speculations about an increase in the instalmentamount of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The truth of these speculations will only be revealed after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s speech on February 1st.
Some media reports are also strongly suggesting that the annual ininstalmentount will be increased to Rs. 10,000. If this happens, the amount of each instalment also increases. Accordingly, a larger amount may be allocated for farmers in the general budget compared to last year. The central government has consistently increased the annual budget for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

The Scheme for These Farmers
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is not for all farmers. The goal of this scheme is to empower small and marginal farmers. The government is trying to help and support such farmers. It provides an instalment. 2,000 to save farmers from taking loans for fertilisers for sowing crops. The money is transferred directly to the farmers’ accounts.

Farmers whose names are linked to the government scheme can avail of the benefits. First, farmers need to complete the e-KYC process. In addition, farmers need to complete tasks such as land verification. Furthermore, they should link their Aadhaar card to their bank account number.
