Design

With the Combat Edition, Hero MotoCorp has also made some changes to the bike’s design. The first thing that stands out is a sharp-looking LED headlight, which makes the bike’s front profile even more aggressive. Additionally, the bike is offered in a special gray and fluorescent yellow color scheme, which makes it stand out from other bikes on the road. This color combination gives the bike a modern and sporty character, which suits the preferences of today’s youth. This bike looks combat-ready not only in performance but also in looks.

Features

In terms of features, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition has truly surprised everyone. The biggest upgrade is its console. It now features the same color LCD console found in the Hero Glamour X 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R. This console is highly informative, providing all the necessary information, including speed, fuel level, time, gear position, tachometer, odometer, and two tripmeters. This console looks very upmarket and is a significant upgrade over the smaller console on the base variant.

Throttle

The bike now features ride-by-wire throttle technology. Simply put, the bike’s throttle is now electronically controlled, not mechanically. This new technology has enabled the bike to feature three different riding modes and a cruise control system. While this hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s believed these riding modes will modulate the bike’s power and performance levels, giving it a new level of versatility. You can choose one mode based on city traffic and activate another when you hit the highway.

Cruise Control

The addition of a cruise control system is one of the bike’s most exciting features. This feature helps reduce rider fatigue during long highway rides. You can set a specific speed, and the bike will continue at that speed; you won’t need to constantly press the throttle. However, considering the conditions of Indian highways, it’s questionable how practical this feature will be, as traffic often forces you to change your speed frequently. Nevertheless, this feature will be very useful on the open highway.

Engine and Mechanical

Despite so many new features, Hero has not made any changes to the heart of the bike, the engine. The bike is still powered by the same 163.2cc, air- and oil-cooled engine that produces 16.9PS of power and 14.6Nm of torque. The suspension system consists of KYB inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Braking is handled by 276mm disc brakes at the front and 220mm disc brakes at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. This means the bike remains as strong as ever in terms of performance and safety.

Launch and Expected Price

It is believed that the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition will be officially launched soon. It is expected to be priced around ₹134,615 (ex-showroom, Delhi), around ₹5,000 more than the base Xtreme 160R. This price seems completely justified considering its new and premium features.
