Ladki Bahin Yojana: Big news for women. Under the Maharashtra government’s Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹1,500 per month. To benefit from this scheme, all eligible women are now required to complete the eKYC process to verify their identity. The government has set November 18, 2025, as the deadline for completing eKYC may be November 18, 2025. Failure to do so could result in the suspension of financial benefits.

What is Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana?

This scheme is for women in the state who are economically vulnerable, with a family income of less than ₹2.5 lakh and are between the ages of 21 and 65. The scheme aims to empower women economically, improve their health and nutrition, and strengthen their role in their families and society. Under the scheme, women receive ₹1,500 per month directly into their bank accounts to help them meet their expenses.

Why is eKYC process necessary?

eKYC can be completed both online and offline. This process verifies Aadhaar-linked documents, allowing the government to ensure that financial assistance is reaching the correct and eligible beneficiaries. If beneficiary women fail to complete eKYC on time, their financial assistance will be stopped.

Both online and offline options

Women can easily complete their eKYC online using their Aadhaar card and mobile number at https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. If online access is not available or they encounter problems, they can also visit their nearest Anganwadi center, Setu center, or tehsil office to complete the process.

Special modifications and features

Technical changes are being made in the website for some women like widows, divorcees, or those whose father or husband has passed away so that they can also easily do eKYC and are not deprived of the scheme. The government has also stated that eKYC updates will be required by June of each year to ensure regular benefits. This system makes the scheme transparent and reliable.
