Yamaha has launched an updated version of its MT-15, its most popular motorcycle in the streetfighter segment. This aggressive naked bike now comes with a host of smart features and new, vibrant color options. Also inspired by the R15M V4, the MT-15 DLX variant features a fully digital TFT display, putting it at the forefront of technology. If you want a bike with excellent performance on urban roads, unmatched handling, and modern connectivity, the new Yamaha MT-15, with a starting price of ₹1,69,550, is the ideal choice.
Smart Features and Technology

The Yamaha MT-15 will now be known not only for its aggressive styling but also for its advanced features. The bike is available in two variants—STD and DLX. The DLX trim receives a major and premium update compared to the R15M V4. The MT-15 DLX now comes with a fully digital TFT display.
This screen offers Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation via Yamaha’s Y-Connect mobile app. The Y-Connect smartphone application offers several exciting features, such as maintenance tips, parking location tracking, fuel consumption monitoring, malfunction alerts, a revs dashboard, and a unique rider ranking system.
Itaru Otani, President of the Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, said that the MT-15 Version 2.0 has made a strong mark in the street-naked segment with its aggressive styling and performance-oriented engineering. The addition of a color TFT display and turn-by-turn navigation is a significant milestone for them.
Color Options and Sporty Design
The updated MT-15 V2 DLX is now available in two new and attractive color options. The Ice Storm shade, which is very popular in the MT series globally, has now arrived in India. The second new color is Vivid Violet Metallic. Both of these colors will be available in addition to the existing Metallic Black. The standard variant also receives a bold new Metallic Silver Cyan color.
The MT-15 V2 is built on a Deltabox frame. Its suspension includes upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, and a MotoGP-inspired aluminum swingarm, providing exceptional handling and cornering capability. This naked streetfighter rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road-biased tires.

Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 remains unchanged, meaning its reliable and proven performance will remain as strong as ever. It is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. This engine produces a robust 18.4 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
VVA technology ensures excellent pickup and power delivery at both low and high rpm. The updated Yamaha MT-15 is a powerful and engaging package for all riders who want a thrilling ride, even during their daily commute.
