Gold Price on Dhanteras: The festival of Dhanteras is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country today. Most people buy silver coins on Dhanteras. However, gold and silver prices are steadily rising during the festive season. Traditionally, buying gold on Dhanteras is considered highly auspicious, as it symbolises prosperity and good fortune. Despite rising prices, jewellery showrooms and online platforms are experiencing a surge in buyers.

While gold has become more expensive by ₹3,600 per 10 grams, silver has seen a rise of ₹700 per kilogram. Commodity experts say that rising global demand and festive season shopping could lead to a significant increase in gold and silver prices on Dhanteras.

Gold Rates on MCX and IBJA
On MCX, 24-carat gold reached ₹1,25,957 per 10 grams. This represents a slight increase of ₹312 compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, the price of 24-carat gold on the India Bullion and Jewellery Association rose to ₹1,30,874 per 10 grams, a sharp jump of ₹3,627. The previous day’s price was ₹1,27,247 per 10 grams.

Silver prices on MCX and IBJA

After two days of steep decline, there was a slight increase. Silver prices on MCX stood at ₹1,57,300 per kg, an increase of ₹696 from the previous trading session. Silver prices on IBJA reached ₹1,71,275 per kg.
