The Chief Minister said that the announcement of dearness allowance was made in the budget speech, but due to poor financial condition, it could not be paid in June 2025. Now, 3% dearness allowance will be given on Diwali. There are 1.91 lakh officers-employees and 1.71 lakh pensioners in the state. Employees will get monthly benefit ranging from a minimum of Rs 800 to officers up to the Chief Secretary rank of Rs 8,000. 4% DA is pending in the state from July 2023 and January 2024. Apart from this, 3% DA from July 2024, 2% DA from January 2025 and 3% DA from July are also due now.

This announcement has doubled the employees’ Diwali joy. Recently, the government assured HRTC employees that they would release their DA installment.
