Performance: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Brings Flagship-Level Speed

Beneath the hood, MagicPad 3 12.5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor on a 4nm architecture for enhanced performance and efficiency. Octa-core CPU features a Cortex-X4 core running at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2GHz, two A720 cores at 3.0GHz, and two A520 efficiency cores at 2.3GHz.

It’s powered by MagicOS 9.0.1, which is based on Android 15 and can be upgraded to MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. This means future-proofing of software support, as well as smooth multitasking performance for demanding apps, creative activities, and high-performance gaming.

Camera and Connectivity: Trustworthy for Day-to-Day Use

For optics, the tablet boasts a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus, useful for scanning documents or the occasional photo. On the front, there’s also an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, suitable for video calls and virtual conferences.

Connectivity features are Wi-Fi 7 for super-high internet speeds and Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC and aptX Adaptive codecs for high-quality audio. It is an excellent option for multimedia use, streaming, and communication.

Battery and Build: Long-Lasting and Stylish

Driving the MagicPad 3 12.5 is a 10,100mAh battery that allows for 66W fast charging through USB-C. This means that users can easily top up and continue using without any downtime. Even with the huge battery, the tablet is only 528 grams in weight and amazingly 5.88mm in thickness.

The phone boasts an aluminum unibody construction, offered in Silver, Black, Green, and Purple colors, which provides it with a premium and sturdy look. Its size of 277.8mm in length and 190.93mm in width makes it very portable and convenient to take on the move.

Pricing and Availability: A Competitive Offering

Honor has placed the MagicPad 3 12.5 aggressively in China. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at ¥2699 (approximately $380), and the 12GB RAM one is priced at ¥2999 (about $420). Customers can also buy an optional stylus and keyboard case for increased productivity.

Though Honor has not announced international availability as yet, the MagicPad 3 12.5 is likely to become available internationally soon, given the growing need for high-performance tablets. In addition to this tablet, the company also launched its Magic 8 smartphone lineup, driven by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which indicates that Honor remains deeply committed to delivering premium performance throughout its ecosystem.
