JAC Board Exam 2026: The Jharkhand Academic Council has issued a new notification regarding the Jharkhand Board Exams. According to this notification, the Jharkhand Board Exam paper will now be based on a 30-50-20 pattern. The Jharkhand Board states that students have previously focused solely on memorisation, making it necessary to change the paper pattern. The Jharkhand Academic Council has made changes to the Class 10th and 12th board exams. For next year’s board exams, the paper will be prepared using the 30-50-20 formula.

New Pattern in Jharkhand Board Exams
The Jharkhand Academic Council has made a significant change for the 2026 board exams. Students in Classes 10th and 12th should forget the old rote-learning pattern, as this time the paper will be based on the 30-50-20 formula. This means that students will now be tested on all three aspects: understanding, reasoning, and practical knowledge. The Jharkhand Board exam will consist of multiple-choice questions carrying 30 marks.

50% subjective questions: The paper will consist of short and long-answer questions.

20% practical or internal assessment: The remaining 20 marks in the paper will be awarded through projects, internal tests, or useful work.

How will the Jharkhand Board exam be conducted?
The Jharkhand Board exam 2026 will now be based on the new 30-50-20 formula. Thirty per cent of the questions will be objective, fifty per cent will be subjective, and twenty per cent will be assessed through practical or internal evaluation. This pattern is designed to test students’ understanding, reasoning, and valuable knowledge.
