Mahindra is poised to strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle sector. While Indian roads are filled with petrol and diesel vehicles, the popularity of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing. Keeping this momentum in mind, Mahindra plans to launch two new electric SUVs in 2026 – the Mahindra BE 6 Rall-E and the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. Both vehicles are unique in their respective categories, one is designed for off-road adventure, while the other could prove to be perfect for city driving.

Mahindra BE 6 Rall-E
The Mahindra BE 6 Rall-E is an off-road-focused electric SUV designed specifically for adventure seekers. The vehicle was recently spotted testing on the streets of Chennai, where it was completely covered. However, some design cues were clearly visible. This SUV has a powerful and rugged appearance. It features a heavily cladded front bumper, round headlights, C-shaped DRLs, and a sporty rear bumper with C-shaped taillights. Black wheel arch cladding, steel wheels, and a white color scheme further enhance its adventurous look.

Speaking of performance, Mahindra has not yet shared engine or battery specifications, but it is expected to feature a dual-motor setup and a large battery pack. According to reports, this SUV could generate approximately 389 bhp (290 kW) and 480 Nm of torque. Whether on hilly terrain or in sandy dunes, the BE 6 Rall-E is ready to showcase its capabilities.
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is essentially the electric version of the XUV 3XO, which has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. The vehicle is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026. It will compete directly with popular electric SUVs like the Tata Nexon EV and MG Windsor EV.

In terms of design, the XUV 3XO EV retains the same exterior as its ICE (petrol-diesel) version, with slight changes to its front profile to give it an electric feel. Mahindra may offer two battery options—one 34.5kWh and the other 39.4kWh—both of which are expected to deliver a range of 300 to 350 kilometers on a single charge.
This SUV is specifically designed for those who drive in the city daily and want to avoid rising petrol prices. Its compact design, excellent range, and comfortable driving experience make it an ideal choice for urban families.

Mahindra’s Electric Strategy
These two Mahindra electric SUVs are part of the company’s comprehensive EV strategy, which aims to establish a strong presence in the Indian electric vehicle market in the coming years. Mahindra is already operating on the BE (Born Electric) platform, and the BE 6 Rall-E is a prime example. The XUV 3XO is expected to be more affordable and popular in the electric vehicle segment. It’s safe to say that these two Mahindra vehicles will provide tough competition to companies like Tata, MG, and Hyundai in the Indian electric vehicle market.
