PM Kisan Yojana- The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a major central government scheme under which 97 million farmers are given Rs 6,000 annually. This amount is disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each every four months. This money is sent directly to farmers’ accounts through DBT transfer. This benefit is available to farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land and are Indian citizens.
So far, 20 installments of the scheme have been released, and the 21st installment is awaited. While farmers in the three flood-affected states of Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh have received Rs 2,000 each for the 21st installment ahead of time, funds will also be sent to farmers in other states soon. Let’s find out what the latest updates are.
Will the 21st installment come before or after Diwali?
According to the rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, the first installment is released between April and July, the second between August and November, and the third between December and March. Considering the four-month period, the next installment will be due in November. It’s likely that the 21st installment will be released after Diwali. There are also speculations that due to the Bihar Assembly elections, the central government may release the installment in October, around Diwali. However, no official statement or update has yet been released regarding the final date.
