BSNL 5G launch: After launching its 4G network on September 27th, state-owned telecom company BSNL appears to be moving towards a 5G network. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia provided information about the BSNL 5G network. He revealed when BSNL will launch its 5G network and also shared that India, with its own 4G technology, has now joined an exclusive club previously held by only five select international companies. Until now, 4G technology was dominated by companies from Sweden, Finland, South Korea, and China, but now India has also joined the ranks. All BSNL 4G towers are expected to be upgraded to 5G within the next six to eight months. Following this, BSNL users, like Jio and Airtel, will now begin receiving superfast connectivity.

The BSNL 4G service was recently launched by the country’s Prime Minister, PM Modi. BSNL has rolled out nearly 100,000 new 4G mobile towers, enabling users to access 4G services. BSNL’s plans are still significantly cheaper than those of private telecom companies. Most people in rural areas still use BSNL’s network. BSNL will also soft-launch its 5G service by the end of the year. According to media reports, BSNL’s 5G service could be soft-launched in Delhi and Mumbai by December. On September 27th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 92,564 4G towers nationwide.

On September 27th, 4G was launched from 92,564 towers across the country. BSNL’s 4G speed was tested in several areas of Delhi NCR, and it was found that its average speed was 40-50 Mbps.

When will the 5G network launch?

According to experts, it is likely that the BSNL 5G network will be launched in two major cities by the end of the year, and in the rest of the country a few months later.
