Good news for India’s bike lovers! Yamaha has drastically cut prices of its two powerful sport bikes Yamaha R3 and MT-03 to ₹20,000. Bikes below 350cc have now become more economical than before due to the recently implemented new GST slab. This tax cut has not only reduced the price of these two bikes of Yamaha, but has also intensified competition in the bike market. So let’s know in details.

New Price
Let me tell you that under the new GST rate, tax on bikes up to 350cc has been reduced from 28% to 18%. Yamaha customers are now getting direct benefit from this. After this change the price of Yamaha R3 has come down to ₹3.39 lakhs (ex-showroom), while its naked version MT-03 is now available in ₹3.30 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The special thing is that this is the second time in 2025 that Yamaha has changed the prices of these bikes. In January 2025, the company had already made major cuts of ₹1.10 lakhs, making these bikes now much more value-for-money than their launch price.
Yamaha R3 and MT-03
You may know that both bikes are built on the same platform, but their identity is completely different from each other. Yamaha R3 While there is a full-faring sports bike, MT-03 is the perfect example of a streetfighter naked bike with its muscular design.
Both of them receive 321cc, twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which generates power of about 42 PS and torque of 29.5 Nm. The smoothness and refinedness of this engine make it one of the most luxurious bikes in this segment.

Riding Experience
The lightweight chassis and sharp handling of these two bikes make riding extremely fun. Whether cruising at a high speed on the highway or moving smoothly in city traffic — both bikes perform best in every situation.
Their ergonomics are also superb, which also relaxes the rider in long rides. Yamaha has taken special care in the design that the bike is sporty, but there is no agreement with Comfort.

Design
The design of both bikes reflects Yamaha’s “R-DNA” Philosophy, if it comes to design. The aerodynamic fairing of the R3 gives it a racing look, while the MT-03’s muscular front and LED headlamps make it extremely aggressive. Both bikes feature features such as dual-channel ABS, upside-down front forks, and mono-shock rear suspension, which keep them stable even at high-speed.
