Weather Update: The month of October has begun. The monsoon has departed from many states across the country. However, in some states, an alert has been issued for strong winds and heavy rain. Thunderstorms and rain are expected in many parts of the country on the occasion of Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in many parts of the country from October 2 to 7th. Rain warnings have been issued in several states, including North India, Bihar, Odisha, and Maharashtra.
Rain Warning in North India
According to the Meteorological Department, a rain warning has been issued in several states in North India from October 2nd to 5th. The Meteorological Department predicts that thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms may be observed from October 5th to 7th. Additionally, a rain alert has been issued in several states, including Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, from October 3rd to 6th.
Weather in Delhi-NCR
The Meteorological Department predicts that Delhi-NCR will remain mostly cloudy on October 2nd. Light rain and drizzle are expected in some areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to be between 33-35 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 24-26 degrees Celsius.
Bihar and Eastern India
An alert has been issued for heavy rain in Bihar between October 3rd and 5th. Odisha is expected to experience heavy rainfall on October 2nd. Furthermore, rain accompanied by strong winds is expected to continue in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Haryana and Punjab
A rain alert has been issued for 12 districts of Haryana on October 2nd. A Western Disturbance is expected to become active from October 4th, bringing rain and a drop in temperatures to the state.
