Ration Card – Big news for Ration Card holders. Especially Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh’s ration card holders should stay alert. If you have not done e-KYC till now then get it done by 30 September 2025 otherwise you will stop getting the benefit of free ration.
After this, the ration card of those members who do not get e-KYC done even after that will be cancelled for three months. After this, their name will be removed from the ration card. Under the eKYC process, every ration card member has to match his name, date of birth etc. with his Aadhar data.
Ration card ekyc
Uttar Pradesh : The last date for e-KYC for ration card holders in Sitapur, Azamgarh, and Moradabad is September 30, 2025. Ration card holders who have not completed their KYC will not receive benefits. If they complete their e-KYC, they will begin receiving rations starting in October. Members who do not complete their e-KYC for a long time will have their ration cards cancelled for three months. After this, their names will be removed from the ration card.
Odisha: Those who do not complete the e-KYC process by September 30 will not get the benefit of free ration. After the deadline, the ration of those who do not do e-KYC will be stopped. Till now, 16 lakh 36 thousand beneficiaries have not done e-KYC. Those who complete the process by September 30 will get ration again. Till now, 30 thousand 125 ineligible families and 6 lakh 38 thousand dead people have been identified in the e-KYC process.
Chhattisgarh: As directed by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, under the One Nation One Ration Card scheme, food grains are to be distributed to all beneficiaries in the state through Aadhaar authentication. A total of 220,602 ration cards are in circulation in the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district under the Public Distribution System.
674,316 members are registered under these ration cards. Of these, eKYC has been completed for 628,368 members, with 45,948 remaining. The Government of India has exempted members under the age of 5 from eKYC. The eKYC facility is available in e-POS machines operated at all government fair price shops. Additionally, eKYC can also be performed through the “Mera eKYC” app issued by the Government of India .
To do this, download the app from the Google Play Store on your Android mobile, select your state, enter your Aadhaar number, and complete face-to-face eKYC via Aadhaar OTP . All those registered with ration cards who have not yet completed eKYC must complete their eKYC by September 30, 2025, to avoid any inconvenience.
Haryana/Punjab: For ration card holders in Faridabad, it is now mandatory for all family members to complete e-KYC to receive government ration from the ration depot. The last date for this is September 30. Beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act can be registered through face authentication on the e-KYC mobile application Mera eKYC.
This authentication will be possible through OTP. All members of the beneficiary family can avail ration facility after registration through face verification. In Mansa, Punjab, it is also mandatory for the holders of free ration cards being given by the Central and State Government to complete eKYC. The last date for this is September 30, 2025. Otherwise, ration may be stopped.
How to complete Ration Card e-KYC online?
Open the official Public Distribution System (PDS) website of your state, as every state has its own e-KYC platform.
On the homepage, under the Services or Ration Card menu, you’ll see an “e-KYC for Ration Card” segment or similar option. Go to that.
Enter your Ration Card Number and Aadhaar Number (of the head of the family or the concerned member) here.
Use the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar account. Enter the OTP sent to your phone to complete the verification.
After entering the details, you will receive a message confirming completion of your e-KYC.
