Bihar Government- Ahead of the Bihar elections, the state government is announcing several new initiatives. In this regard, the Bihar government has also taken a major decision for new lawyers. In fact, starting January 1, 2024, the Bihar government has announced a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 for three years to all newly enrolled lawyers in the state.
This amount will be paid through the Bihar State Bar Council. Regarding this decision, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary stated that, upon the request of the State Bar Association, a one-time grant of Rs 5 lakh will be provided to establish a library for new lawyers. Additionally, an amount of Rs 30 crore will be provided to the Bihar Bar Association.
How to apply to benefit from the scheme?
The Bihar state government has announced the scheme, but the application process and required documents for receiving the stipend have not yet been released through the State Bar Council. However, it is expected that information regarding the application process will be released soon.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced that each Vikas Mitra working under the Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission will receive Rs 25,000. Additionally, the monthly transportation allowance for Vikas Mitras has been increased from Rs 1,900 to Rs 2,500, and the stationery allowance from Rs 900 to Rs 1,500.
