If you change jobs often, transferring your Provident Fund (EPF) can be difficult. But now there is good news. EPFO has added a new option to download the Annexure K document directly from the member portal. This has made the transfer process easy and clear.
Annexure K is a type of transfer certificate. This document is needed when you change jobs and move your PF balance from your old account to a new one. It has all the details about your job and PF.
Annexure K has your name, member ID, PF balance, interest earned, pension scheme history, joining and leaving dates, and details of old and new employers.
What was the problem before?
Earlier, Annexure K was only shared between PF offices. Members got it only after making a special request.
How to download Annexure K?
- Login to the EPFO Member Portal
- Click on Online Services
- Go to Track Claim Status and download Annexure K

Now the PF transfer process will be clear and simple. You can check if your balance and service years were transferred correctly. A digital record will also be created, which will help in getting pension benefits in the future.
Union Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said this new facility will give employees more power and trust.
Hemant Kumar, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, also said that EPFO has added many new features like Passbook Lite for instant account summary. Making Annexure K online has made the PF transfer faster and easier than before.
