This sports university, named after Maharana Pratap, will also provide special encouragement to sports across the country.

A major update on the NRI quota

The cabinet also made major revisions to the NRI quota fees and management quota fees for medical colleges. Until now, the NRI quota fees were Rs 3.1 million, and the management quota fees were Rs 9 million. Meanwhile, the NRI quota was set at 35 per cent for management and 1 per cent for NRIs.

This had a provision for aper annual percentage increase. This was causing losses to colleges. Furthermore, the Cabinet has now decided that the NRI quota fee will be two and a half times that of the management quota. This will reduce the NRI fee to less than Rs 2.4 million.
