Bihar- Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday announced that the Bihar government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month for a period of two years to unemployed youth having graduate degree under the ‘Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana’.
Previously, this scheme was only applicable to unemployed youth who had passed the intermediate examination. In a post on the social media platform X, Nitish Kumar said, “I am pleased to inform you that the ‘Chief Minister’s Self-Help Allowance Scheme,’ which was previously operating under the state government’s ‘Saat Nischay’ program, has now been expanded.”
Earlier, only Inter pass youth used to get the allowance.
Under this, the benefit of Self Help Allowance Scheme, which was earlier being given to Intermediate passed youth, will now also be provided to unemployed graduate youth who have passed Arts, Science and Commerce.
Who will get Rs 1000?
Under this, graduate youth in the age group of 20-25 who are not studying anywhere, are preparing for job/employment and do not have any self-employment or government, private or non-government employment, will also be given Chief Minister Nishchay Self-Help Allowance at the rate of Rs 1000 per month for a maximum of two years.
Nitish Kumar wrote in his post, “Since the formation of the new government in November 2005, providing government jobs and employment to as many youth as possible and empowering them has been our priority. A target has been set to provide government jobs and employment to 10 million youth over the next five years. In the coming years, a large number of new job and employment opportunities will be created in the government and private sectors. To achieve this target, youth are being provided skill development training so that they can obtain employment.”
I am pleased to inform you that the Chief Minister’s Self-Help Allowance Scheme, already in operation under the state government’s Seven Resolves program, has been expanded. Under this scheme, it has been decided to extend the benefits of the Self-Help Allowance Scheme, already offered to intermediate-graduate youth, to unemployed youth who have graduated in Arts, Science, and Commerce.
Graduates in the age group of 20-25 years who are not studying anywhere and are trying to get a job/employment, do not have any self-employment or are not employed in government, private or non-government sector, will also be paid Chief Minister’s Nishchay Self-Help Allowance at the rate of Rs. 1000 per month for a maximum period of two years. I hope that the youth will use this assistance allowance to get the necessary training and prepare for competitive examinations so that their future can be secured.
