According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued in East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Darbhanga, Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Gaya, Nalanda, Patna, Samastipur, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Siwan, Lakhisarai, Aurangabad, Saran, Rohtas, Buxar, Jehanabad, Kaimur, Arwal, Bhojpur, and Begusarai.

Orange alert in these districts:
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in West Champaran and Gopalganj.
According to Meteorological Department data, 858 mm of rain should have fallen; however, only 592 mm was recorded, which is 31 per cent less than usual.

Rain Expected Until September 22
The monsoon is expected to remain active in Bihar. An alert has been issued for thunderstorms and rain in various parts of the state until September 22. Strong winds with speeds of 30 to 40 km/h are also expected. Meanwhile, no significant changes are expected in the maximum and minimum temperatures in Bihar over the next four days.
