The wait for the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana for the farmers of the country is now about to end. The government can soon give a big gift to the farmers before Diwali. However, to avail this installment, it is mandatory for some farmers to get physical verification done. The government has released an important update on the website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which may hinder the benefit of millions of farmers.
What is the new update of the PM Kisan Yojana
A new update has come on the official website of PM Kisan Yojana, pmkisan.gov.in. This update is for those farmers who have bought land or acquired ownership after February 1, 2019. Apart from this, those families will also have to go through this process in which husband-wife or young members above 18 years are also taking advantage of this scheme.

According to the government, all these farmers will have to get physical verification done. If the farmers do not get their verification done as per this notice, then their 21st installment will be stopped. This installment will remain on hold until their verification is completed.
When will the 21st installment come?
The question remains among the farmers as to when the next installment of the PM Kisan Yojana will come. The last installment was released on 2 August 2025, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of the scheme from Varanasi. At that time, an amount of more than ₹ 20,500 crore was sent to the accounts of more than 9.71 crore farmers.
It is expected that the 21st installment can be sent to the farmers’ accounts before Diwali, i.e., in October. If we look at the data of previous years, the government has been releasing the installment between August and November, i.e., around October. In 2024, the 18th installment was released on October 5, in 2023 on November 15, and in 2022 on October 17. This year, Diwali is on October 20, and it is believed that in view of the festivals, the government can release the installment at this time.

Possibility of coming before the Bihar elections
Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year, and the Election Commission can announce the dates by the end of September. In such a situation, the central government can send money to the farmers’ accounts before the code of conduct comes into force. Therefore, it is very likely that the installment money will be released in the first or middle of October.
