Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary gave such an answer that everyone was surprised.

He said that the central government does not have any proposal to give DA arrears of 18 months. The central government is not even considering giving it. It was stopped during the Corona period to bring the ailing economy back on track. Since then, employees are definitely demanding, but it will not be available. This is considered a big setback for the demands of central employees.

How much can DA increase?

It is considered possible to increase the DA of central employees. It is expected that the Modi government can take this big decision before Diwali. This time the DA can be increased by per percentage. After this, it will increase to 58 per cent.

At present, central employees are getting the benefit of 5 per cent DA. With this, the salary will jump like a cheetah. The government works to increase DA every half year. Its rates are effective from January 1 and July 1. Now, the DA that will be increased, its rates will be considered effective from July 1, 2025.
