It is said that the countdown for the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has started. Crores of farmers are waiting for this.
On August 2, the government released the 20th installment and sent ₹2,000 to the bank accounts of eligible farmers. With this money, farmers got some relief in crop expenses. Now, farmers are asking questions like – “When will the next installment come?” and “When will the money reach our accounts?” Because of this, hopes are high that the 21st installment will come on Diwali.
Instalment may come before Diwali
If we look at past records, the government usually sends PM Kisan installments between August and November. In 2024, the 18th installment came on October 5. In 2023, the money was sent on November 15. In 2022, the installment was released on October 17. This year, Diwali is on October 20. Looking at these records, there is a strong chance that farmers will get ₹2,000 before Diwali. If the government gives this gift on the festival, the happiness of farmers will double.
Another point is the Bihar assembly elections. The Election Commission may announce the dates by the end of September. After the code of conduct starts, the government cannot make new announcements or send funds. That is why the 21st installment is expected in October itself, before the code of conduct. This will be an economic gift for farmers before the festival.
Rules that farmers must follow
The government is making rules strict with every installment. This time also, some important rules are:
- E-KYC: Farmers must complete e-KYC for their PM Kisan account.
- Aadhaar-Bank Link: Aadhaar card must be linked with the bank account.
- Land Verification: Land records must be verified by the Agriculture Department.
- Farmers who do not complete these steps may not get the 21st installment.
How to check your name in the list
- Farmers can check their status on the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
- Go to the ‘Farmer Corner’ section and click on ‘Beneficiary Status’.
- Enter Aadhaar number or registration number to see the details.
- By clicking on ‘Beneficiary List’, you can also see the list of beneficiaries in your village.
All signs show that the government will release the 21st installment in October. Experts say that if farmers update their documents, there is a high chance that ₹2,000 will come before Diwali. This will add more joy to the festival.
