New Delhi: Some teachers of UP will now get a bumper benefit, which is also being discussed a lot. Good news has come out for the teachers and employees of the State University and Aided Degree Colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Now, the teachers and post-teaching staff of state universities and non-government aided degree colleges will also be given the benefit of a national salary hike on a large scale.
If teachers and employees are going to retire on 30 June or 31 December, their pension and gratuity are considered to be calculated with a notional salary hike. For example, if the retirement date of a teacher is 30 June or 31 December, then his salary hike is to be done on the very next day, i.e. 1 July or 1 January, then they did not get the benefit of this. Now they are sure to get this benefit in the form of a notional salary hike.
Which employees will come under the purview
The employees who have taken retirement on 30 June 2025 before the issuance of the government order after 1 January 2026 will also be able to come under the purview of this benefit. They will get the benefit only with effect. Arrears of the past period cannot be given. The same rule will also be applicable to those employees who retired after January 1, 2016, whose retirement date was June 30 or December 31.
Their salary hike was scheduled for July 1 or January 1. This decision was taken to implement it on the basis of the recommendation of the committee implemented from January 1, 2006. This government order was already applicable in UP basic education and secondary education. Along with this, thousands of teachers will now be able to get its benefit after its implementation in higher education.
Large number will get the benefit
A large number of teachers will get the benefit of this order of the government. This was not happening till now. On the other hand, state employees are now also waiting for DA hike. It is believed that the government can soon announce DA hike, which is sure to benefit on a large scale.
