Annual Fastag Pass: If you are the owner of a four-wheeler, then let us tell you that on August 15, NHAI has started the FASTag annual pass for private vehicle owners. It is a prepaid toll plan. This is a special option, in which 3000 rupees have to be deposited at once. Under this pass, vehicle owners can travel without paying tolls for 200 tolls or for a period of one year. In just 4 days, more than 5 lakh people have adopted this rule of the government.
For information, let us tell you that some toll plazas have been fixed by the government for this pass; this pass will not be considered valid at all toll plazas. There are some highways where the value of this pass increases. It will not be valid on expressways and toll roads operated by the central and state governments. Where will this pass be valid?
For information, Yamuna Expressway (Uttar Pradesh), Purvanchal Expressway (Uttar Pradesh), Bundelkhand Expressway (Uttar Pradesh), Agra-Lucknow Expressway (Uttar Pradesh), Samruddhi Mahamarg (Maharashtra) – State Highway, Mumbai-Pune Expressway – operated by MSRDC, Atal Setu (Goa) – State-managed bridges are the places where this pass will be valid.
For information, on all other highways and toll roads, toll charges will be deducted from your ordinary Fastag account when traveling on these routes. Along with this, this pass is not applicable for commercial vehicles, taxis, or parking charges. Along with this, the management of these expressways is with the state governments, while the Fastag annual pass has been made only for National Highways and Central Expressways.
Who can get a Fastag pass?
According to the information, this Fastag pass is applicable only on private, non-business vehicles. Along with this, the vehicle should be linked to the Fastag vehicle database. This pass is non-transferable, which means it will be deactivated immediately if used on another vehicle. Two-wheelers, taxis, commercial vehicles, and vehicles registered only with a chassis number are not included in the pass.
