Now you will not get reward points on these transactions
Talking about the rules changing from September 1, SBI Card will no longer give any reward points on any transaction done on online gaming platforms through these credit cards. Not only this, if the customer uses any kind of government transaction or government service for the transaction, then no reward points will be given on such expenses.
At the same time, a new update has come out for SBI cardholders. From September 16, 2025, all CPP (Card Protection Plan) customers will be automatically transferred to the new and updated plan variant based on their existing renewal date. Information about this change will be sent to the customers by SBI Cards through SMS or email 24 hours before the renewal date.

Under these changes, the free air accident cover of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore available on premium cards like SBI Elite and SBI Prime was completely discontinued.
