New Delhi: Nature’s wrath is not stopping in Uttarakhand, where the scene is like devastation. Nature’s fury has broken out once again in Devbhoomi. A cloudburst has happened once again in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The cloudburst incident has happened in Mopata of the tehsil, where two people have been reported missing. Relief and rescue work have started to deal with the devastation after the cloudburst.
Apart from this, the situation in the Chenagad area remains critical due to the bridge being washed away in Lawara village of Kedarghati. Many routes are also closed. Alaknanda and Mandakini are also in spate in Rudraprayag district, and their water has started wreaking havoc by entering the houses. In view of the deteriorating situation due to rainwater in the state, NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed here and there.

Information has been received about the cowshed being buried in the debris brought by the water due to a cloudburst. About 15 to 20 animals have been buried in it. State CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has also shared this information through Twitter.

He wrote, debris came due to a cloudburst in Badeth Dungar Tok of the Basukedaar area of Rudraprayag district and the Dewal area of Chamoli district. Due to which some families are trapped.
The local administration is doing relief and rescue work rapidly. I am constantly in touch with the officials and have instructed the Disaster Secretary and District Magistrates to do the rescue work properly and speedily.
