More than half of India’s population depends on farming. To increase the income of farmers and give them relief in small expenses, the central government started the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the year 2019. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are sent an installment of two thousand rupees every four months directly to their bank account. The farmer gets a total financial assistance of six thousand rupees in the form of three installments throughout the year.

Instalments received so far and preparation for the 21st installment

PM Kisan Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently transferred the 20th installment of this scheme to the accounts of farmers from Varanasi on August 2. Now the eyes of the farmers are on the 21st installment. According to media reports, the central government may release the next installment in the month of October. However, its official date is yet to be announced.

Why does the benefit stop

It has been seen many times that some farmers do not get the benefit of the scheme on time. The main reason for this is the mistakes made in the application. Due to incorrect information of the bank account and Aadhaar number or incomplete e-KYC, the amount does not reach their account. Therefore, farmers must check their status before the next installment.

How to check application status

Farmers can visit the official website of PM Kisan Yojana, pmkisan.gov.in, to know the status of their installment. By entering the Aadhaar number and bank account number here, it will be known whether the next installment will come to their account or not. Along with this, it is also important to see your name in the beneficiary list.

Why is e-KYC necessary?

PM Kisan Yojana

The government has made it clear that to take advantage of the scheme, it is necessary to complete the e-KYC of the farmers. If the e-KYC is incomplete, then the 21st installment will not come to the account. In such a situation, farmers should complete it in time so that financial assistance can be received on time.
