Cloudburst Chamoli: Heavy rains have caused devastation in most states of the country. Due to continuous rainfall, especially in the hilly areas, widespread devastation is being observed in many places. At the same time, following the incident of a cloudburst in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on Friday night, there has been widespread concern among the people. According to the information, many people are feared missing after this incident. The flow of debris has also caused heavy damage to local markets, roads and residential areas. There is a stir among the people. Due to a cloudburst, many houses have been destroyed and vehicles have been buried. Shops in Chepdon market have also suffered significant damage due to the flow of debris.

Many roads have also been blocked due to heavy rains and debris. In view of the situation, a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been dispatched from Gauchar for rescue and relief operations. Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari has confirmed the situation and said that the teams are actively working in the affected areas.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami posted on the social media platform X and wrote – Sad news of a cloudburst was received late at night in the Tharali area of Chamoli district. District administration, SDRF, and police have reached the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue operations.
