Tata Punch Facelift

From the outside, the new Punch facelift doesn’t look too different from the current car. It has been deliberately kept like this to retain its famous identity. It will come with its same rugged, strong and boxy design. The projector headlamps at the front and that Y-shaped grille are still the same.

Upcoming Tata Punch facelift will look like this

The square wheel arches and roof rails also give the same classic look. However, one thing that could be new are the alloy wheels. Tata may equip it with newly designed R16 diamond cut alloy wheels, but it is difficult to say for sure due to the camouflage. Overall, the Punch will look a little more rough-and-tough while retaining its masculine style.

Interior

The real fun begins when you step inside the car. This is where Tata has shown the biggest magic. The first thing you notice is the all-new, two-spoke steering wheel. This is the same premium steering wheel that is found in Tata’s flagship models, with touch control buttons and a stunning illuminated Tata logo adorned in the center at the top.

Right behind the steering, you will be greeted by a new 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, which will show all the information in a very clear and stylish way. Apart from this, there are features like voice assisted sunroof, USB charging ports, wireless charging pad and rear AC vents, which make the Punch the most feature-rich car in the segment.

Powertrain

If you think that there will be some new tadka-masala in the engine, then you might be a little disappointed. Tata has adopted the principle of ‘if it is working well then why change it’ in the case of the engine. The new Punch facelift will get the same old reliable 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which produces 87.8 PS power and 115 Nm torque.

You can get it with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT (automatic) option will also be available. In CNG mode, the power reduces slightly to 73.5 PS and the torque comes down to 103 Nm, but still it is perfect for city roads.
