FASTag Annual Pass Bookings: If you have a four-wheeler vehicle, then this news can be special for you. Let us tell you that on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August, NHAI launched the FASTag Annual Pass. Within just four days of launch, this scheme has received a great response from the people. So far, more than 5 lakh annual passes have been sold. This service got a tremendous response on the very first day. By 7 pm on August 15, about 1.4 lakh people had booked or activated the annual pass. According to NHAI, this initiative is a big step towards technology-based and hassle-free travel in the country. Now millions of people are making the journey easier by using this pass.

Rajmargyatra app also broke the record
NHAI told on social media platform X that its mobile app Rajmargyatra is also becoming very popular. So far, this app has been downloaded more than 15 lakh times. On the Google Play Store, this app has reached the top of all government apps and second place in the travel category. It has also achieved a 4.5-star rating.
What is the FASTag Annual Pass?
This pass, launched by NHA, has been brought to make travel easier on select National Expressways and National Highways. Users can buy this pass for only Rs 3,000. Through this, they can travel on these roads without paying toll for 1 year or 200 trips (whichever is completed first). However, this facility will be applicable only on those highways and expressways that come under NHAI. Please note that this pass is only for private vehicles like cars, jeeps or vans, etc. This scheme will not be applicable to commercial vehicles.

How to activate?
For this, first download and open the Highway Yatra mobile app.
After this, click on the Annual Toll Pass tab and then press the Activate button.
Now click on Get Started and enter your vehicle number.
After this, the vehicle number will be matched with the VAHAN database.
Enter your mobile number on the screen.
After this, enter the OTP received on your mobile and proceed.
Now make a payment of Rs 3,000 with the help of UPI or a card.
Your FASTag annual pass will be activated within two hours of payment.
