Ayushman Vay Vandana Card- Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana has been started in Delhi under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). Under this, the process of registration of senior citizens aged 70 years and above has started today, Monday, 28 April.
In this sequence, in a program organized at Thyagaraj Stadium, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started distributing cards to the elderly. Ram Singh Negi, a resident of Mohan Garden, was the first to be issued the Ayushman Vaya Vandana card.
How many lakh rupees will the health cover be?
This card was made available to 90 elderly people in this program. This card will be issued to six lakh elderly people in Delhi. Under this scheme, eligible elderly people will get health cover of up to ten lakh rupees per year for treatment in hospitals included in the panel of AB PMJAY.
What is the eligibility for the card?
This card will be issued to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above, irrespective of their socio-economic status and who are not part of any government health benefit scheme.
How to register?
Eligible individuals can register for and download the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card through the following ways:
Ayushman app
By downloading the Ayushman app from Google Play Store, the card can be made and downloaded by completing the registration and e-KYC through this app.
AB PM-JAY Portal
Registration and card can also be downloaded from AB PM-JAY website or Ayushman Vaya Vandana Register Portal.
47 private hospitals registered so far
Currently, 47 private hospitals in Delhi have been registered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Beneficiaries will be able to get free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh in these hospitals. Treatment will also be available under this scheme in all the hospitals of the Central and Delhi Government.
