Mahindra Vision SXT : Mahindra has introduced four new concept models in Mumbai at its Freedom NU event. The most talked about among them is the Mahindra Vision SXT, which grabs everyone’s attention with its pickup truck look at first glance. This concept is based on Mahindra’s Vision T, which shows the future of the electric Thar. In such a situation, SXT makes it clear that Mahindra is preparing to take the Thar name to a bigger level.
Design and look
The look of Vision SXT is quite strong and rugged. There is a thick black grille at the front with vertical slats. The headlamps are installed in vertical style and the bonnet comes with a very aggressive design. Skid plate and air intake are visible in the bumper at the bottom. Apart from this, wide wheel arches, sharp cuts and dual-tone orange and black color combination make it more attractive when viewed from the side. Roof rails and side steps on the roof also strengthen its powerful look.
Rear part
The biggest difference between SXT and Vision T is seen in the rear. Vision SXT has a small load area, where two spare wheels are kept. Vertical LED tail lights, large bumper and skid plate at the rear make it more off-road friendly. Vision SXT badging is also given all around the vehicle.
Platform and space
Mahindra Vision SXT is built on the NU IQ platform. This platform can support models ranging from 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm in length. Its cabin also has a lot of space. The second row gets up to 937 mm of legroom and 1,404 mm of shoulder room. The ground clearance is up to 227 mm, which makes it even more capable of off-roading.
Launch possibility
This new platform of Mahindra will come into production from the year 2027. First Vision T i.e. electric five-door Thar can be launched, and after that the way can be cleared for Vision SXT pickup truck. Although it is still at the concept stage, but if its production model comes, it will prove to be a very practical and powerful vehicle.
