How much will the DA of state employees be?

The Maharashtra government is expected to make a big announcement for the employees in the monsoon season. After the increase of 2 per cent, the DA of the state employees will now be 55 per cent. Earlier, the state employees were getting the benefit of 53 per cent DA. Officers, employees, other eligible officers and employees working in semi-government service with the state government and state pension holder officers will also get the benefit of increased DA, which is good news.

The most important thing is that these rates of dearness allowance will be effective from January 1, 2025. DA arrears from January to August will be transferred to the employees’ account. Accordingly, employees will get the benefit of 8 months’ DA arrears. About 12 lakh employees and pensioners will get the benefit.

How much can the DA of central employees increase?

There is a possibility of an increase of up to 3 per cent in the DA of central employees. If these possibilities are approved, then the DA will increase to 58 per cent. Now the benefit of 5 per cent DA is being received. The increased DA rate will be implemented from July 1, 2025. The government and the way increases the DA twice every year.
