Scholarships for Indian Students in 2025: If you have recently passed the 12th grade and live in India, then you have a chance to get a scholarship. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has started applications for the Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025. Under this, students will get a scholarship of up to Rs 8000 every month.

The last date to apply under this scheme has been fixed as 31 October 2025. Students who want a scholarship can apply online by visiting the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), scholarship.gov.in. The application will be done digitally only. After registering, the students will have to fill out the form by uploading the necessary documents.
Conditions for getting a scholarship
If you are from Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura or Sikkim state and you have passed 12th from a recognized school (CBSE, CISCE, NIOS), then you will get this scholarship.
Eligibility to get a scholarship
- Students from Northeast India can apply for this.
- The applying student must take admission in the first year in regular and full-time graduate courses.
- Students who take admission in distance/open/private/part-time courses will not get a scholarship.
- Those taking admission through the management quota will not get a scholarship.
- The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed Rs 4.50 lakh.
- The applicant must have a valid residence certificate of any Northeast state.
- The renewal of scholarship will depend on the good performance and attendance of the students.
How much scholarship will be given?
Under this scheme, students are given financial assistance of Rs 8000 every month. This assistance is available for the entire duration of the UG degree course. On the other hand, students pursuing integrated or dual degree courses will get a scholarship only for the undergraduate part.

- Go to the homepage here and click on ‘New Registration’.
- Fill out the application form with the required documents.
- After this, submit the form. However, check all the information properly before submitting.
