The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made some changes to make the claim process easier from April 1, 2025. EPF is a savings scheme for salaried employees. Money from this fund can be withdrawn fully or partly after retirement or for needs like medical treatment.

Members can submit their PF withdrawal claim either offline or online. For offline claims, employees can use the composite claim form (Aadhaar or non-Aadhaar). The full PF amount can be withdrawn only in case of unemployment or after retirement.

How to Apply for PF Online

To apply for PF online, your UAN (Universal Account Number) must be active. The mobile number linked with your UAN should work. Your Aadhaar, bank account number, IFSC code, and PAN should be saved in the EPFO system and linked to your UAN.

First, go to the EPFO website and log in using your UAN and password. Check if you are allowed to take out PF. Then choose the right form – Form 31, 19, 10C, or 10D. You will get an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile. Use that OTP to finish the claim process.

How to Check PF Claim Status

To check your PF claim status, go to the UAN portal. Log in with your UAN and password. Click on ‘Online Services’ and then on ‘Track Claim Status’. Type your reference number to see your claim status.

This is an easy way to apply for and check your PF claim from home.
