Looking for a Tea-Time Snack? Try These Golden Crunchy Sooji Chips Today-Light, Crispy & Tasty!

If you feel a little hungry in the evening, then often you feel like eating something spicy and tasty. However, things like chips and namkeen are not particularly good for one’s health. So why not make something this time that is tasty as well as healthy? Here is the recipe for crispy semolina chips, which everyone in your family will love. These chips taste great with tea or green chutney, and you can make them once and store them for many days.

Ingredients you need:

Semolina: 1 cup, Flour: 2 tbsp, Celery: half a teaspoon, Red chili powder: half a teaspoon, Black pepper powder: one-fourth teaspoon, Salt: according to taste, Hot water: for kneading the dough,Oil for frying.

Method of making:

First, mix the semolina, flour, celery, salt, red chilli, and black pepper well in a large vessel. Now add hot water little by little and knead a hard dough. Keep in mind that the dough should neither be too hard nor too soft.

Keep the dough covered for 10 minutes, allowing the semolina to swell. Now, make small balls from the dough and roll them very thin. Remember, the thinner the puri, the crispier the chips will be.

Cut the rolled puris with a knife into your desired shape (like diamond or square). Now, make small holes in the chips with a fork. By doing this, the chips will not puff up while frying.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the chips on a medium flame until they become golden and crispy. Take out the fried chips on a tissue paper so that the excess oil drains out.

When the chips cool down, store them in an air tight container.

You can eat these crispy semolina chips with green chutney, sauce or just like that with tea. They are so delicious that after eating them once, you will like to make them again and again. So next time whenever you feel a little hungry, then definitely try these healthy and crispy semolina chips!
