In fact, in the monsoon session of MP Assembly, Congress MLA from Jaura Pankaj Upadhyay asked many questions including increasing the amount of the scheme to Rs 3000 and new registration.
Women and Child Development Minister Nirmala Bhuria, while answering the questions, said that at present there is no proposal under consideration to increase the amount of Ladli Behna Yojana to Rs 3000. No such announcement was made in the month of June. There is no proposal for new registration either, so registration is not being done.
Congress MLA from Jaura assembly constituency Pankaj Upadhyay had also asked about the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana whether extra money is being given without instructions. The sisters whose names have been deleted or are being deleted are not being informed and the money is not being paid on the prescribed 10th of every month. He sought information about the number of beneficiaries of the scheme and the total amount paid month wise. He also asked how much money was spent on advertisements from the year 2023 to June 2025.
In response to this, Minister Nirmala Bhuria said that at present there is no proposal to increase the amount of Ladli Behna Yojana. No announcement was made in Indore in June in this regard. The Chief Minister had said that Rs 3000 per month would be given in Rewa on June 10, 2023, but after that no official step has been taken in this regard. He said that registrations are also not being done due to no proposal being under consideration.
Those whose names have been deleted are being informed. There are instructions from the government to pay the amount on the 10th of every month from July 20, 2023, but this date keeps changing as per convenience. The amount is being paid regularly to the beneficiaries every month. At the same time, the rest of the information including the number of beneficiaries and the total amount paid is being collected.
Let us tell you that the 28th installment of Ladli Behna Yojana will be released in the month of August. With this installment, an additional Rs 250 will be given in the account of the sisters. This will be given as a Rakshabandhan Shagun. This means that in August, sisters will get Rs 1500 instead of Rs 1250. At the same time, the state government will increase the amount by Rs 250 from Bhai Dooj after Diwali.
After which, instead of Rs 1250 every month, Rs 1500 will be given every month. A target has been set to give Rs 3000 per month to the sisters by the year 2028. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that under the Ladli Behna Yojana, the amount will be increased to three thousand rupees per month in a phased manner.
