Gigantic Battery Capacities and Rapid Charging Expected

According to the leak, the Redmi K90 may pack a whopping 7,100mAh battery, while the more premium K90 Pro might get an even bigger 7,500mAh battery. Both phones are rumored to use advanced single-cell silicon-carbon battery technology, which should enhance battery density without increasing size. The two are also expected to support super-fast 100W wired charging for rapid top-ups.

Next-Gen Chipsets Under the Hood

Earlier leaks have already indicated that the Redmi K90 will come based on the Snapdragon SM8845 processor, whereas the K90 Pro will come with the higher-end Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Based on the latest update, the SM8845 will hit the market officially under the name Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 as a significant performance and efficiency upgrade for top-end mid-range smartphones.

Display and Premium Features on the Pro Model

Redmi K90 series is said to pack a 6.59-inch flat RGB OLED LTPS screen with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a rich and silky smooth visual experience. The K90 Pro, specifically, might come with a variety of flagship-level features such as a periscope telephoto lens, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, and a metal mid-frame to provide strength. Better haptics might be provided via an x-axis linear motor.

Global Rebranding Soon for Poco F8 Series

Outside of China, the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro could be rebranded as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra. The base Poco F8 might come out in Q2 2026 as a rebadged Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, which could come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5 processor.

Redmi 15 and Note 15 Series Also in the Works

Besides its flagship series, Redmi is also working towards updating its budget line. The Redmi 15 and Redmi Note 15 series are rumored to launch later this month or in September in China to target entry-level and budget buyers.
