Today, on the morning of August 1, Oil Marketing Companies have released new rates for LPG cylinders. This news has brought relief, especially for those who use big cylinders for commercial purposes. According to the new rates released, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced. However, there is no change in the price of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. Let us know what the new prices of commercial and domestic LPG cylinders are in different cities of the country from today.

New rates of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in major cities

After the new rates implemented from August 1, the prices of commercial gas cylinders in the four major metros of the country are as follows:-

Delhi: In Delhi, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will now be available for ₹ 1,631 instead of ₹ 1,665. Here, the price has been reduced by ₹ 34.

Kolkata: Commercial cylinder in Kolkata will now be available for ₹ 1,734 instead of ₹ 1,769. There has been a reduction of ₹ 35 here.

Mumbai: The price of a 19 kg cylinder in Mumbai has come down from ₹ 1,616 to ₹ 1,582.50. Here, customers have got relief of ₹ 33.50.

Chennai: Commercial cylinder in Chennai will now be available for ₹ 1,789 instead of ₹ 1,823.50. Here, prices have been reduced by ₹ 34.50.

These new rates will provide great relief to small traders, people running restaurants and hotels.

No change in the price of a domestic LPG cylinder

While there has been relief in the prices of commercial cylinders, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders. The price of a domestic LPG cylinder was last changed on 8 April 2025, when its price in Delhi increased by ₹ 50 and reached ₹ 853. Since then, to date, domestic cylinders are available at this rate. Earlier, on 30 August 2023, the government had given relief to the general public by making a big cut of ₹ 200 in the prices of domestic cylinders.
