Compact Screen with Decent Graphics
Pad X7 features an 8.7-inch TFT LCD IPS display with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. It carries a 90Hz refresh rate support, ensuring smoother scrolling and better visuals for daily media use. The device comes with a 625 nits peak brightness sunlight mode and an 85% screen-to-body ratio, which offers visibility and immersive viewing even under daylight conditions. It also includes an NTSC color gamut, 16.7 million colors, 180 PPI pixel density, and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, which gives good color rendering for its cost.
Snapdragon 680 for Day-to-Day Performance
Internally, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, which is a 6nm octa-core CPU with 4x Cortex-A73 cores running at 2.4GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.9GHz. The chipset has generic scores of around 310,000 on AnTuTu v10, which will be more than sufficient for web browsing, video streaming, and casual gaming. It includes up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, which can be extended with microSD for added capacity.
Basic Cameras for Photos and Video Calls
For video calling and camera, the Honor Pad X7 includes an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. On the front, it features a 5MP fixed focus front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, which is enough for routine selfies or video calls. It’s not a flagship, but it is okay for a tablet in this line.
Long Battery Life and Android 15 Out of the Box
The Pad X7 is equipped with a 7020mAh lithium-ion battery (rated 6900mAh), which supports 10W wired and reverse wired charging. This large battery, considering its good processor and resolution, should easily offer a day’s use. It comes preloaded with Android 15, ensuring the latest software experience with improved security and system features.
Design, Connectivity, and Availability
With its metal back panel, which is 7.99mm thick and weighs 365g, the Pad X7 brings a bit of premiumness to its price. For connectivity, there’s dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0, which should take care of web usage and accessory connections. The Pad X7 is available today in Saudi Arabia for SAR 449 (approximately USD 119). Word of global availability has yet to come from Honor, but broader availability is shortly to come.
