MG Comet EV Offer: MG Comet EV, India’s cheapest electric vehicle, has again witnessed a price hike. So far in 2025, the company has already hiked prices four times, pushing it further away from buyers’ pockets. The latest price surge is for all variants, both BaaS and non-BaaS models.

MG Comet EV July Price Update

In May 2025, the price increase was restricted only to non-BaaS variants. But this time every variant has been priced up. MG has increased prices by as much as ₹15,000 on most trims, while the Blackstorm edition and Exclusive FC trims have been increased by ₹12,700 and ₹13,700 respectively. Also, the rental charge under the BaaS scheme has been raised by ₹0.2 per kilometer, now charging ₹3.1/km.

For a single ride, this charge may not be too much, but over weeks or months it will be a perceptible additional expense.

Total Price Increase in 7 Months

MG Comet EV’s price has gone up four times in 2025 – in January, February, May, and now July. In a mere 7 months, the price gap has shot up to a maximum of ₹1,01,700, varying with the variant. MG has also introduced some additional features in the meantime, which justify some part of the increase.

Battery and Performance

MG Comet EV is equipped with a 17.3kWh battery pack. It produces 42PS power and 110Nm torque with an automatic gearbox. The estimated range is approximately 230 km on full charge. It takes 3.5 hours to charge to 0-100% using a 7.4kW charger or 7 hours using a 3.3kW charger.
