Who is expected to get how many seats?

Seat sharing between the Grand Alliance in the Bihar assembly elections is now in the last phase. There is no consensus between the JD and Congress yet. But it is expected that the seats will be announced between the two soon. Congress wants to contest in 70 seats, like the last assembly elections. But RJD is not ready to give it more than 50 to 55 seats at any cost.

Congress performed very poorly in the year 2020. On the other hand, RJD wants to keep up to 140 seats with itself. It is expected that Mukesh Sahni and Pashupati Kumar Paras’ LJP are also likely to be included. Sahni is demanding 60 seats for his party. He is likely to get 12 seats. Pashupati Paras’ party is expected to get only 2-3 seats.

Who contested for how many seats in Bihar in the year 2020

In the last election yyear 2020, elections were held on a total of 243 assembly seats in Bihar. On behalf of the Mahagathbandhan, RJD contested on 144 seats, Congress on 7 and Left parties together contested on 29 seats. RJD emerged as the largest party by winning 75 seats. Congress performed very poorly by winning only 19 seats. CPI(ML) performed well by winning 12 out of 19 seats.
