Farmers are still waiting for the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The last installment was given in February 2025. As per the schedule, the 20th instalment should have been received in June. However, due to some technical reasons, the payment has been delayed this time.
When Will the 20th Instalment Come?
According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may release the ₹2,000 instalment this month. He is expected to visit Bihar around July 19. It is believed that PM Modi may release the 20th instalment from Bihar and send ₹2,000 each to the accounts of eligible farmers. However, the government has not confirmed this yet.
Steps to Get the Benefits
Under the PM-KISAN Yojana, eligible farmers get ₹2,000 every four months.
To continue receiving the money, farmers must:
- Complete their e-KYC
- Link Aadhaar with their bank account
- Make sure there are no mistakes in land records
This time, many payments are delayed due to errors in land details. Most rejections happened because of wrong state or district entries. Farmers can fix this by using the ‘State Transfer Request’ option on the PM-KISAN portal or by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
No e-KYC, No Payment
The official website (pmkisan.gov.in) clearly says that farmers who do not complete e-KYC will not get the next installment. Farmers can complete e-KYC through:
- OTP verification
- Biometric method
- Face authentication
How to Check Beneficiary Status
Farmers can check if their name is on the beneficiary list through the PM-KISAN website. Make sure that the Aadhaar number, bank details, and land records are correct. This helps to get the next payment on time.
Steps to check status:
- Visit the website: https://www.pmkisan.gov.in
- Go to ‘Farmers Corner’ and click on ‘Beneficiary Status’
- Enter your registration number or mobile number
- Click on ‘Get Data’
- Your installment status, bank details, and e-KYC info will appear
If you don’t remember your registration number:
- Click on ‘Know Your Registration Number’
- Enter your mobile number and verify with OTP
- Your registration number will show on the screen
